Kid’s Activity Calendar- June 29th – July 5th

Welcome to another week of summer!

This week we will be introducing a summer writing/craft project to get your kids thinking about different feelings and topics! Here is a link to a resource to introduce journaling to your child: JOURNALING

Each day this week, I will post a new topic to write, talk, or draw about! Encourage your kids to think about the prompts and find a creative way to express their thoughts!

Monday June 29th

Exercise: Complete this set of exercises 3 times

  • 10 squats
  • 10 lunges
  • 12 calf raises
  • wall sit- 20 seconds
  • 10 pushups
  • 20 shoulder circles
  • 10 jump squats
  • 20 sit ups

Journaling topic:

  • Describe your family. Who do you live with? What family do you see often? What family members do you wish you say more often? What is your favorite family activity?

Tuesday June 30th

Exercise: Complete this set of exercises 3 times

  • 15 squat jumps
  • 5 pushups
  • 25 high knees
  • 10 burpees
  • 10 lunges- walking!
  • 30 seconds sprint in place
  • 10 wall pushups

Journaling topic: Describe your favorite day of school. What made it special? Who was there?

Wednesday July 1st

Exercise: Complete this set of exercises 3 times

  • 15 jumping jacks
  • 15 squats
  • 15 high knees
  • 15 supermans
  • 30 seconds skipping in place

Journaling topic: If you could be on the set of any TV show or movie, what would you pick and why? What would your character be called?

Thursday July 2nd

Exercise: Complete this set of exercises 3 times

  • 5 pushups (or wall pushups!)
  • 15 mountain climbers
  • 20 sit ups
  • 20 air punches
  • 10 squat jumps
  • 30 seconds side shuffles across the room

Journaling topic: What is something you think about a lot? How do those thoughts make you feel?

Friday July 3rd

Exercise: Complete this set of exercises 3 times

  • 10 standing toe touches
  • 10 leg raises (laying down)
  • 10 weighed arm curls (try using a water bottle or book!)
  • 10 lunges
  • stretch your arms for 30 seconds

Journaling topic: What is your favorite holiday? What do you like most about this day?

Saturday July 4th

Sunday July 5th

Outside workout! Don’t forget water! It might be really hot out!
