Alix Kavran joined Hope in 2018. In 2011 she graduated with her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University. She learned how to assess, diagnose, and provide treatment to individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Alix has had several years of experience in working with all ages and providing individual, family, and couples therapy. Her main expertise is in trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, and ADHD/ behavioral disorders. She has past experience working in the community with children and families, schools-based therapy, crisis therapy and assessment in a hospital setting, victims of violent crime and in foster care. Alix is trained in Brainspotting, Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Regulation and Competency framework, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Play therapy, and is a Nationally Rostered Child and Parent Psychotherapist.
Alix has recently become interested in health and fitness. She enjoys walking outside on nice days, being anywhere in nature, and learning new things. She is currently being taught, by her very patient husband, how to golf and is progressing each time on the course. She lives to read and enjoys personal growth. Her favorite authors are Brene Brown, Rachel Hollis, and Jen Sincero. Alix has a fun and energetic Italian Greyhound who may show up on tele-therapy calls at times just to get her face out there as she’s an aspiring influencer. Alix loves her career and helping people by being their support and guide at sometimes the most difficult times in their life. It is truly her passion and she couldn’t imagine life any other way.
