After graduating with her master’s degree in Professional and School Counseling from Olivet Nazarene University in 2013, Ashley has worked in Private Practice, as a community-based Child Therapist, and as a Crisis Interventionist. In addition to Hope, she currently works as a School Counselor at a local elementary school. Ashley can provide insight regarding her client's educational setting and school-based challenges. She believes the most important aspect of counseling is establishing a safe and supportive relationship between the client and counselor. Ashley uses a variety of therapeutic approaches in her counseling sessions, developing new interventions based on each client’s individual needs and interests. To Ashley, therapy is a team-based process, and she will work WITH you to develop personalized goals and outcomes. She will walk alongside you, providing support, understanding, and guidance as needed to help you become the best version of yourself possible!
When Ashley is not working, you can find her spending time with her family and friends, eating tacos, enjoying the sunshine outdoors with her dog, reading a good book, watching football, or traveling the world. She has been to almost twenty countries across five continents, and believes these experiences help her relate to clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Ashley look forward to meeting you!
