James joined HOPE as an intern in August of 2015. James is a Licensed Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He received his Masters Degree in Social Work from George Williams College of Aurora University and his Bachelors Degree in Human Services from Judson University. James enjoys working with individuals of all ages. He uses his experience in play therapy, parental coaching, and other training to provide a deep counseling experience. James likes to look at the whole picture when working with families, focusing on the family unit as well as the individual. James has an extensive background in working with families and the problems that arise within the family dynamic.
