Maureen joined Hope in January 2019. Maureen is trained in Crisis Intervention, the Mandt system of Relationships and conflict resolution with a focus on Trauma informed care; She is a Suicide Bereavement Clinician through AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and completed a 40-hour training for treating survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Maureen just completed training to become an Adoption Competent Therapist to further her work with children and families. She has extensive training in Adlerian Play therapy methods and uses this approach with children and families alike as she approaches all interactions with the question of “What is the purpose of the behavior?” She believes in a strength-based approach that is guided by the individual needs of the client. Maureen is in the process of becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

Maureen enjoys spending time with her husband, adult children, two dogs and parrot (she dances and enjoys 80’s music the best). Maureen also enjoys traveling when travel isn’t restricted and loves photography as a hobby.
