We are glad you are here and thank you for checking out what we have to offer! Each day there is an activity (cooking, crafts, science, etc.) and exercise that you can complete to help keep you occupied and healthy during this uncertain time!

Monday May 18th

Exercise:

While looking for inspiration for new workout ideas, I stumbled across a website called “Fitness Blender!” They have over 500 free workout videos! Here is one specifically for kids and families!

Activity:

The past few months have been stressful, confusing, and have made it difficult to stay in a routine. This week, I started using index cards to organize my days. I put daily goals/tasks I need to accomplish and check them off as I go! I found a website that gives an example of how to make your own ring-bound to-do lists at home!

Tuesday May 19th

Exercise:

Missing gym class and recess? SWORKIT    is a free website and app that has workouts made for children ages 3-14. Create your free account and try the “agility for kids!” I tried it this morning…. it was a great challenge!

Activity:

Has anyone noticed the intense springtime winds recently? Whenever it’s windy, the first thing I want to do is fly a kite! Here is a great and easy way to make your own kites: KITE MAKING

Wednesday May 20th

Exercise:

Da-na-na-na-na-na-na-na da-na-na-na-na-na-na-na BATMAN! workout like batman!

Activity:

I’ve been missing science class lately. It was my favorite subject growing up and the best part was always the fun experiments! When I was in 3rd grade, we made anemometers  (an instrument for measuring the speed of the wind!) to measure wind speed. Check out how to make your own at home! LINK HERE

Thursday May 21st

Exercise:

Ever wonder how Wonder Woman got so strong? Try this super girl workout to test your strength and get you ready for the next time you need to be a hero! SUPER HERO

Activity:

Growing up, my brothers ate strawberry pop-tarts every Sunday morning. I remember the smell of the crust warming in the toaster! I found an easy recipe for home made pop tarts! We tried it this morning and they were a HIT! Enjoy! POP TARTS

Friday May 22nd

Exercise:

High Intensity Interval Training is one of my favorite ways to get a great workout in without taking a lot of time! Check out is youtube video of a quick but effective workout! HIIT VIDEO 

Activity:

NO. BAKE. APPLE. DONUTS. Need I say more? RECIPE

Saturday May 23rd:

Exercise!

YOU MADE IT TO THE WEEKEND! Let’s dance it out to get the weekend started off on the right note! DANCE

Sunday May 24th!

Today take some time to learn about Memorial Day. Use this time to answer any questions your kids have about the holiday.
